Thanks guys. You know the saying “1 step forward 2 steps back”, well yeah, applies to me always. starboard trans won’t go into gear, both motors are coming out Saturday and will be shipping the transmissions to Miami to be professionally rebuilt to handle up to 1000 hp. They are the only major component on the boat that I haven’t had rebuilt or replaced altogether. They were supposed to have already been rebuilt before I got them but I have learned they probably wouldn’t have been able to handle the power we’re going to have in this boat anyway. This shouldn’t be a delay in time as the upholstery is another month and a half or so out. And this will actually make it easier to install our hydraulic hoses for the steering. Positive thinking 😂

Sorry I missed this. Mines the 1.5:1. Rik was wanting to be a little more agressive and run 30 pitch but I didn't want to spend money on having the props made and my engines not be up the task. We're thinking we'll be low 80's at around 5,000 rpm.

Super wow ! Sounds great looks fantastic, congratulations. Dippin her really puts wood on the fire.
heath have you considered two pieces, 1 for the winch and 1 for the stop ? May be an optical illusion but the winch looks too close for comfort, also looks like theres plenty roon on the tongue to move the winch forward and use that space for the stop.

Again it's awesome man, another couple months after the upholstery is done she'll be all buttoned up in time for summer and sea trials. Sh!t i think we're all looking forward to that.

Thanks a lot guys. We’ll be done with this thing at some point.
Like normal pulling the other motor out last Sunday didn’t go according to plan. I was so sore I felt like I’d been beaten up in a fight lol. We got it out yesterday, and got the transmission off. Hope to get them shipped in the next few days.

Used this opportunity to clean the bilge up.

On the trailer, I think I’m going to try this geometry out, might need to move the winch stand down or forward we’ll see. I’m thinking the bumper is going to need to be this low. When the boat is floating it wants to come into the bumper in the painted part of the hull. We’ll see…

Heath put a V- block with carpet down lower under the strake that way you wont hit the paint when loading and unloading thats how we do our trailers . and on a side note pull out those motor mounts raidus the edges and paint or powder coat them you have done an amazing job on that boat. Regards Dan.

Thanks Dan, Good call on the trailer. I was actually planning on painting those brackets since the engines were out. They ugly.
