Slow go replacing rot around the rear area of the deck. This is going to take several applications of glass and resin. I’m going to spend some time getting all this straightened out. There’s some cracks in the gel coat around the engine hatch area as well as a few busted places, and some old screw holes for boat cover buttons from long ago.
I’m going to have my hatches open together with the hinges at the rear. With this in mind I decided to go ahead and remove the two notches at the front and rear of the opening that must have been for a center bar. I will be filling these notches with fiberglass. Also I had to used many clamps and an aluminum bar to clamp the area behind the rear seat back in place as it had gotten out of shape since I had the deck pretty much resting on it the last year and a half.

Didn’t have much time to work tonight, I covered the left entryway with 1708, was able to glass the joints undrneath. Should be much stronger than factory. I was shocked this piece wasn’t even rotten originally...
the original step iece was just tabbed in, and not glassed underneath. Surprisingly not rotten...
