Just offering the material as it can also be used as a spacer to keep the tank
off the bottom while pouring the foam in.
Only mentioned the other option because i see the hard work and planning going into this restoration and because you always seem to see problems in that area no matter the manufacturer
(seems to almost always turn a project into a full blown project).
(I see you jeff, sneaking around the threads asking specific questions-
makes me think your getting a plan together)
Another thread to look forward to

1. To see if the previous drive hole was going to clear the standoff box.
2. To see how Kewl they’re gonna look.

Heath as far as your fuel tanks go we put an Zink Kromate primer on the tanks before we foam them in. but you definetly want to foam in your tanks under the floor it helps with the bottom structure. Regards Dan

Big step today, finallly got the boat in the building next door. Siting temporararily in the trailer. Trailer is set up for a step hull boat so I’ll have to burn all those brackets off and prolly install a large bunk on each side of the rear and the middle of the front. Something like that anyway..

Boat looks good on the trailer, also the headliner turned out excellent.
Are you going to leave the grid in the engine bay? If not, I learned a few tricks to save you a LOT of time when you tackle that project!

Thanks Mike, yeah, we'll be removing the grid and putting in some 45* angled stiffeners like the later ones had. I was thinking of removing the grid with a sawzall, then grinding. What would you recommend?

Hey Dan, how come mine doesn't have the grid type layout or the 45 degree style? Was it different for the outboard boats ? Maybe TnT did it this way during the rerig and it was completely different when new? I'm pretty sure the pics I've seen other LS boats had the 45 degree style, but they were all older. I've never seen pics of the newer LS boats to compare.
