Thanks guys, yes Dan my goal is to splash sometime this summer. This boat will require more time to put together than the 30' scarab did. I have much more to do, the 30's upholstery was all reused, this will have to be made. We will prolly just do the cockpit, then do the cabin upholstery next winter.

The last two photos with the level on the deck is showing you guys the hump. Look at the shadow under the level for the irregular place. It's on both sides of the bow rail.
If you watch the first few seconds of doc holidays video, where the boats coming out of the shop you can see about how wavy the deck is from the factory. (another reason painting a boat black is brave, it hides nothing in the bodywork)

No problem, bottom hook or not the boat will be outstanding. For me it's curiosity, most likely my old hull and your hull came out of the same mold but the question is was the mold tweaked to remove that hook. Here's a pic of a pic (crappy) from back in the day running across Lk. St. Clair. Before you know it you'll be doing the same, we all hope.

Spent some time in the cabin today. I pulled the galley and head furniture out so I could tab the deck to the hull in that area. That 60 or so inches between the 3rd and 4th bulkheads were the only area that hadn’t been tabbed yet.
Also glassed the tops of the bulkheads before I bolt the deck to the bulkheads, and brushed resin over the rest of the bulkheads for moisture protection...
Port galley area
Starboard head area
1st bulkhead
2nd bulkhead
3rd bulkhead

I want to get started on my boat next spring. My biggest problem is space. I only have a single lane driveway and a 1 1/2 car garage that is packed with boat stuff and engines. No where to work on the boat during the winter.

Got the non-skid coating sanded off the front of the deck. There has been a lot of Block sanding done on the bow of this thing. Test fitting the bow rail and the faring. In my biased opinion these old boats just don’t look right without the bow rail. Should be in primer next time you see it....
