Default Anyone know this P-29?

Boat looks pristine. No engines but not real clear on drives/transom assemblies. Way pricey if the transom is blank as well as an empty engine compartment.

I agree, that boat is worth what $35K with power and drives. Say $25K for complete repower with bobtail small blocks. I'm at $10-15K for the hull and that's probably generous. I'd much rather have that nice 28 Saber with twin big blocks for say $32K.....and he just spent $30K on a repower, tells you what a hull is really worth Was around 10 years ago I paid $30K to repower a 28 Apache and sold it bout 25 running hours later for around $30K too.

A set of Merc 383 MAG's would make it a nice runner. https://www.mercurymarine.com/en/us/...o-sterndrives/

Hopefully the Blackhawks are still with it.

She's a real beauty IMO. It's in Michigan....I know I saw a listing with it at $34K somewhere.

The P 29 - I know the boat from top to bottom as I was the one whom de rigged it ( engines - drives and transom assemblies ) also worked on it in the past.. It is not my boat but a customer of mine in the Chicago area. Yes Im in Texas but have customers all the the USA

Its pristine. . Some work on it was my doing, but current stuff was done at LOTO. Its stored inside. The blackhawks are available and so are the props but not included in the hull trailer price.. DAH just did some final work and balancing of the props they are pristine.

The trailer is worth 6500 to 8 K - alone

The hull has some new gauges, interior is mint and has full hydro steering and Merc trim tabs.

I own this P-29. BUP is correct, as he is my go-to technician for this project.

As far as the commentary about this boat being overpriced, I disagree, but you guys are entitled to your opinion.

Transom was done professionally (not cheap) and then the entire bilge was repainted a nice fresh white by the same specialist. If someone wanted to build a solid limited edition Scarab P-29, then this would be the foundation to build upon.

Rest of the boat is probably the best condition you will ever find.

$10 to $15k estimate from TexomaPowerboater made me chuckle. That would maybe get you a base 29 Scarab hull (not P-29) with some sins and a rusty trailer.

If you wait 5 years for one to hit the market, $10 to $15k might get you another P-29 hull that will need a new transom and probably a ton of other fiberglass work, and a rusty trailer.

My offering for $31,750 is the fast track for someone wanting to get on the water this year with a super nice boat (and actually make it to the water because the trailer is nice).

I have already endured the patience that it took to get the fiberglass work done.

This boat hull/trailer combination is worth the asking price.

I still have the Blackhawks and the 31 props that go with it and would would work them into a package deal. They are also pristine, and the props are now mirrored too. DAH Props redid them and they are one of the best in this business that is still around.

If someone is interested in the boat, they should reach out to me sooner than later.

Boat is in LOTO for a limited time only. My phone is 815.979.1229.

I am somewhat flexible on price and open to reasonable offers for a package deal.

So the transom assemblies have been reinstalled after the transom was redone? Or is it a blank transom and empty engine compartment? Make a huge difference to a prospective buyer. No question based on the pics that the boat is one of, if not the nicest examples of a P-29 out there. But if you have to source engines, drives, and transom assemblies it is a bit pricey when all said and done. Still, if you are wanting a P-29 and P-29 only your options are limited and you will spend what it takes to get one. Best of luck with the sale!

The only thing I can say if one has this exact boat built today JUST HULL only with no interior - no gauges - no controls - no steering - no tabs - no wiring - no cables - JUST bare hull only with gas tank the cost would be about 80 to 95 K. HULL only without the exterior designs / paint.. . .

If one was to build a complete boat New just like this the cost would be 275 K. --

If you have engines and drives and transom assemblies then you are doing well because the hull and trailer are LIKE BRAND NEW,

The Blackhawks are for sale and NO way you are ever going to find them cheap PERIOD. Unless they are completely junked Blackhawks..

One can put a set of bravos on with shorties or however.

Its there however one wants to rig it for their own personal liking
