I also find it difficult to believe. I have a 600+ HP procharged 454(.30 over) with a Bravo 1. Best seen so far was around 84 with a little left twisting a labbed Bravo 30 at around 5400 RPM's. Unfortunately it's gonna be next season before my supposed winter project is finished. The damn headders wouldn't clear the procharger so it's gonna get the 496 manifolds off my sunny when I do the Raylar kit.

Good points gentlemen. I also just did a calculator and came up with the same rpms...so either my tach is wrong or my gps...which one I couldn't guess. But GPS speeds are usually spot on right? I am going to have my mechanic look at the tach next Spring when he unwinterizes her. Thanks for the heads up.
But I do know that this boat is the fastest boat I have ever been in, and I have a bass boat that does 78 mph with a 225 Optimax spinning at 5800 rpm on GPS and my Pachanga certainly feels faster than that. So, I guess my tach could be off.
