Default Trim tab help

I want to put tabs on my 87 22' with 454, can I get some input what size tabs others are using on there 22's? How does one typically decide the best size tabs for their vessel?

I'm running bennet sport tabs (10"x12") their M120 kit. with 3 people, half a tank and half throttle with the tabs down I'm on plane in 3 seconds I'm not sure if your buidling some sort of killer Pachanga but according to their website they are supposedly only rated for up to 60mph, I've never had trouble past 60 mph though

Hmmm, I'm hoping to rebuild my engine this winter and get a little more out of it, hoping 70+. I was looking at 12x12 tabs so I think they should work for my set up

wetrat i have bennett racing tabs on my 22,i think they are 12+12 and have them mounted straight on the transom instead of the usual angled mount.i did this because of the lack of room on the transom and i can through bolt them instead of just screws into the transom.i have ex-hyd sterring, and the space was tight.the tabs work great, but i only use them in rough water at speed.no handling problems.rember the pachangas have a foam core transom.so through bolting is a must.hope this helps.

well, sounds like the old changa will be staying stock. I'm looking at a bigger boat for longer cruising so I think the changa will stay stock as a lake boat.
