Hey Bobby..are you coming to Sunny Ilse with them....
He is a little out of shape..but I told him...no more donuts before the races...I thought after the race in OC I was sitting next to my Huskey he was panting so loud....but hes fun to run with and he knows what hes doing....he has just been spoiled in those dam cats with lids....racing is suppost to beat you up...not take a ride in a Caddy....
At least he is sitting in front of a real ENGINE now....not those dam egg beaters..
Hope to see ya soon

I was talking with Angelo the other day about your boat cause he had no idea that an Ilmore was in it now! He said with the small block the boat ran around 90 I believe and thought the boat would run 100 with your new package! Good luck in Sunny Isles!!

Tested yesterday at Lake Tarpon...
Ran the new 24 Labed ...I ran by myself the guys there were busy with there boat to get ready..
Ran 81 mph..drive at nurtra,l tabs up...with 45 gallons of fuel....acceleration was sick...63 passing 75 was just under 4 seconds..and pins you back to the seat...
changed to the 27 hydromotive 4 blade that Mark had... ran 93mph and ran out of prop...
changed to the 27 hydro 5 blade..to much stern lift...ran 89..
We still had the 1 inch spacer in...
The prop that needs to be...is a 28 lab 4 blade merc and cup her for about 300 extra rpms...
100+ should be no problem....at 93 she stll was handling good....putting on the sportmaster to get ready for racing Sunday...

Sounds like an awesome rig!
Thanks for documenting the build out, and images (Sharkey thanks)
I think you will really like your Ilmor powerplant
These engines are simply outstanding.
Hard to describe them other than awesome, definitely different.
I gave my boss the stick a few weeks ago- he is a florida guy with a center console 250HP single outboard.
By the time we reached the island he'd been feeling the ilmors mid range and was mumbling repeatedly "oh my God" over, and over, - it was fun.
enjoy and good luck - be safe!
