Do you know what conditions would affect the race, go or no go ?
Thanks
Thanks
This isn't looking good....
Today: Rain likely, then occasional rain and possibly a thunderstorm after 3pm. Patchy fog. High near 80. Breezy, with a southeast wind between 13 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

It was all a go with a slight rain delay of the start of Race 3.
Congrats to Great South Bay Racing and the OPA for managing to get all 3 races in and done. It was very challenging with the weather towards the end of the day and now it is raining so hard I can barely see across the street ...
I have some interesting shots to come.
Some that maybe magazines may want so I will need to check to see if I have to hold off posting them.
Mainly, Louie the Rigger having the seat break loose in the Kryptonite and being tossed to the back of the boat.
I have the entire sequence of him in the seat coming through the turn 2 then I have him in mid-flight with his foot up by the shoulder of his driver and the rest of his body about to hit the rear seat, hitting the seat and then coming to rest in the back of the boat. No one was hurt . Everyone was ok but it took them out of the race. Class 6 is some serious racing !!!

Yes, from turn two but only from a distance. Wide angle shots to show the overall size of the crowd.
Working on processing images today.
I just arrived back on the office this morning...
