You did do exactly the right thing. Always good to keep your head whan all about you are losing (or not even using,) theirs...

I've seen TONS of your pics and you always do a great job. Stopping to try to help the kid was the right thing to do, if you stopped taking pictures today, (NOT that we'd want you to)you'd still have thousands of great pictures. You may have one less pic because you assisted the kid, but you are much better off with the good Karma.

Here the boy was just before the jump and as he crashed in front of me.
As you can see the bike was on top of him and when I saw him struggling to get out from under it and saw other bikes coming I just had to act. It was my 1st instinct to try and prevent him from getting hit by another bike. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop it. sad thing to witness for sure especially when you know it was going to happen....
