In response to US1 Fountain's comment: "You'll kick yourself settling for a smaller boat in order to save a couple days garge remodel work. Once thats done, it's done."

Its more complicated than that. I boat on a fresh water lake, my lift can accomodate up to 6600 lbs., my slip can handle a 28-29 ft. boat, and the garage is 20' x 30'. So, in my next step up in boating I figure if I stay around 28', under 5200 lbs., and I can fit it thru the garage door (I'll make the garage longer), then it is easier for my wife to say "let's do it !".

I just didn't want to have to extend the slip, buy another lift and mod the garage AND buy the boat.

Bump.

Anybody care to add any boats to this list? I've got a detached shop that's 40ft long and parking is 20ft wide, but the door is standard height closer to 6ft 10in.

Hardly any performance V hulls will fit under a 7' door. Maybe some sit down V's and cats.

I think the 30' Superboat I owned would of fit in a 6'10" opening. Towing it was nice because it was skinny and not real high.

I found a few rare birds not already on the list.

28 Saber (with the right trailer - torsion axles required)
28 Eliminator.
