To me that makes those Doug Wright 32' very impressive as Ryan B. and crew ran over 116mph in Tenn last weekend

Sean I believe you are correct.
The mininum weights were put in place to encourage builders to use enough fiberglass to keep the boats from breaking in half after the 1st wave.
I have heard as lite as 3300-3400lbs for a 28' with 2.5s

A Motion is a great design overall and will run with the other similar designs, Spectre and AMT. But you can't compare these to a 28' Skater it is kinda like comparing............um........I dunno , but they are different OK? Yes the 28 IS faster, ALOT FASTER in some cases, but for the most part all are good boats.

Ryan what are your expectations on the new 32' skater compared to what is currently racing? Are the boats being built for ss the wide beam hulls? The Doug Wright 32' seems to clearly be the class of the field now.

Michael, I am with you. The 32 Doug Wright is very impressive with both speed and handeling in rough water. I would love to have a pleasure built 32 Doug Wright. Has anyone ordered one of these boats with open canopy and either 2.5's or X's

The Doug Wright is awsome, I would have never believed the speeds until I did it. The new Skaters 30 and 32 are going to be trick . Pete is very serious about taking back his outboard business.
