I'm think the Shadow guy was improperly exiting the course. JT was on the sticks, you can ask him the gory details.

I'll never forget that ride in your Skater that day......we kicked some serious a$$ that day!!!
There is NOTHING better than looking back at the whole fleet of poker runners as you're flying off of a 4' swell with 100mph rain hittin' ya on the forehead!!!
That was a lot of fun, Glad you started feeling better later on. I'll see you at the Shoot Out!!

JT was not throttling the boat when that happened , Mike Drury was.

Thanks for the correction, To many poker runs to keep my facts straight. I know JT spent a lot of time in the boat. I think he had a undefeated race season in the boat or something like that. I raced the boat when it was Big Thunder and then we started racing the Nuff Respect 4 engine 46 Skater as Big Thunder. That's when FREEDOM US1 was born. We modified the 1994 46 two engine Skater into a Great poker run boat. This boat has had a interesting past history to say the least.

Jt stepped into the boat the next year, they were undefeated that year, dry sump drives, multi speed trannies and sterling motors.

Another rumor, leith made innovation sign a contract they would make 1,000 hp if they didnt he didnt have to pay, they lost the lawsuit rumor says. Those motors innovation built were unreal, tallest intake manifold I ever saw, about 3 or 4 ft.

Nuff respect was an unbelivable boat, once in key west, they put the props on backwards, they came into the pits and changed them, then went out about 1 lap down and still won the race. That boat was a beast.

I heard about the prop story. One of my best races was in Argentina running against Matt Alcone and Jerry Galbraith. No body broke and it was 4 to 6s. The big four engine beast simply out accelerates any other supper boat out there. Long as you didn't break something your chances to win where good. It would run 108 mph on three engines.

I was in argentina, were you in the 4 engine boat ? Those waves were bigger than 4 to 6's.
