gerry thats cool is that a water brake they put on the out put shaft i used to build turbins neat motors i finnaly sold my boat the new 30 will be starting soon cant wait keep the pictures coming

The fuel control units provided by Mark-NYE also have
a return to keep the turbine fuel control from deadheading.
Here is a picture of the Mark-Nye unit.
This is also wired to the Safety laynard which kills
fuel in the event of ejection.

Here is the Block party for the fuel system.
The Mark-nye fuel shutoff I beleave will be placed at
where it says fuel solenoid valve.
I do not see any fuel returns in the Turbine fuel regulator.
There is however a fuel purge when shutting down the turbine. This is there because of the long periods that helicopters can sit...This will prevent the fuel from schalacing in the nozzles.
The bottom of my exhaust has a built in catch for this purge with a drain. It has nothing to do with the exhaust it is just
attached to it.

Typically, the fuel at shutdown has to do with "where to put it". On shut down, as pressure in the nozzels decreases, a shuttle valve cuts the fuel off to the nozzels, and since the fuel control has positive displacement pumps, that fuel (while the fuel control is still spinning, i.e., pumping) has to go somewhere until the gas generator has stopped. It gets collected in a can and gets recycled either by burning on the next start, collected and dumped, or whatever.
