Yes oil system is a pressurised/ scavenge system.
I will post a nice schematic out of the Turbine book
for boneheads that Jim sent me.

Gerry, Think I need new Glasses filled with Corona or some other type of anti-freeze to read it, a little small but not bad. Don't waste your time improving the scans unless it is relatively easy to do. but 1 ? is the gear box oil and engine oil separate or a unified system and how are they protected/filtered etc. again thanks Jay ps-- I prob.should see the answer but it's time for our 5pm cocktail.

Here is the pump located on the bottom of the combuster.

Also a break down of the filter system.

The last picture is where I am interupting to put the Canton
oit t stat.

This operates at 215 degree which is 15 degrees above recomended oil temp.

This is a big block chevy Marine t stat from canton it is above the boiling point of water to keep the milkywhite under valve
covers down.
This has no meaning to the turbine because there is no water.

I am going to modify the T-stat by drilling two 3/16 holes
in it to allow some bypass to lower the threshold.
This is the same deal we did when it came to crossover
chevys.

No like drill holes, that is for venting air from system, temp. can actually spike up/down see what others think can't u-just get some nice 195's.ps maybe ok for oil temp/control but when u-say chevy cross-over are u-referring to the t-stat for water/combo/by-pass @ the front of the chevy block ? seen spikes in H20 temp with drill holes in that circumstance although lot's of guys try it. any thoughts ? maybe OK_4-U / ? --- off-base ---

I beleave it is because the centrifical weight of the Mooney 10-71 is alot lighter then the PSI.
The PSI requires more crankshaft HP to spin.
The PSI will just keep making boost 10lbs, 20lbs, 30lbs 40lbs.
It actually runs cooler the faster it spins.
You could put your hand on the side of it. Try that with a
14-71 BDS.
Take a look at the size of one its freaking huge.

Really in a nut shell if you want to make 1500 plus
horsepower PSI is at the top of the short list.

Most of the top engine builders will agree PSI is
the best blower out there.

If I Build another blower motor I will be topping it off
with a PSI and Fuel injection.

But I have gone to the DARK SIDE and I cant Freakin wait
to start melting Snow
Thanks for the info and keep up the good work!

hope you got some deep pockets bro. watch build it bigger and see how much they shell out for a turbine due to just salt water!
