40 flatdeck
It seems there are a few different decks for the 40.
What year did the flatdeck start ? What is a realistic price for a ready to go package on one of these with 1000 hp engines ?

I am no expert on Skaters but I try to be.... I believe they started doing the cut down/flat decks around 98',99'? Maybe Ryan will chime in, he will know exactly. Are you looking for a new build price or a good used boat price? There are some nice 40's in the classifieds.

Yep. I think your gonna find anywhere from 350 to, maybe, 400ish. The trick is gonna be what motors are in it, how much time, and then how much time are on the #6's. Dry sumps are preferable along with the swept back skegs. I have gone through both motors AND both drives and it was not cheap but at least I know they are new. The Recovery 40 in the classifieds looks sweet and seems like a great price, along with Ruthless, but that is a 46 and they are HUGE compared to the 40. Good luck!!

Dave Scott's former 40 is still at Cumberland I believe, and can have whatever power you want installed.
Bullock has the Silver 40 with 1075's. The owner is building a new one I believe.
Ruthless is an extremely nice 46 and an excellent price if you want to go 46.

The Cat in the Act 40 is a great deal. You should definitely look into that one if you haven't already.
