Skate 30. Those nose up shots were 65 mph to WOT-110) runs beginning at 45. I run neutral to minus one into the wind. Even at starts, I am neutral. Just thought the acceleration shots made the boat look cool. I got to be a little vein after all the $$ and work to get here! LOL. Thanks for the insight. I need all the help that I can stand! David

Sounds good David.........you're definitely due a little "showboating" after all the time, money and effort you put into your 28!

Got my boat back from my local dealer today! New powerhead and a slightly different break-in schedule than what was outlined in the Mercury manuals. I need to analyze the differences. Looks like Mercury will also compensate for the Dewald prop damage. Dave is on his way to China for F1H2O racing. Chris Dewald says that the prop can be fixed and re heat treated (in house). I am looking for some 28 plus or minus props to do break-in to allow higher idle in no-wake zones and so that varying RMP is not so dramatic on boat speed. My local tech says that we may never know why the motor lunched from Mercury. Hey will not allow the dealer to open the motor. More of the Mercury secrecy. Mercury was very interested in the "red" oil in my tanks. I gave them thru my dealer, the Mercury part number and it is OK. Mercury still refers to the new racing oil as Rejuvenate!! Go figure. I'll keep every one updated.

That's good news. I had been running Rejuvenate oil for 2yrs prior to them changing the color and calling it racing oil! My guy at TNT uses a different break in schedule also. He wants about 8hrs before hard running and and at least 10 or more for wide open. Did they check out the other motor?

Classic Mercury. "They always run....until they don't."

Good luck with this one!
