Your not a Guinnapig you the FNG! Your going to be fine but you will need to be patient and willing to spend a little bit of money. Besides you have all us armchair QBs as advisors Had I been able to sell mine this fall I would be exactly where you are now.

That was my Fountain that a friend of mine and I owned. We set that 34 CC up with Jack Plates and the Tie bars where the first kit Bob Latham made for us. The rest was history. I took that picture. Where did you get it?

I would do what you are doing with the new 400s, "no guts no glory"

This isn't a derail, but it looks like MTI is banking on the 400 performing with the debut or their 340X (in classifieds).

If Peter is on board with rigging your new boat with the 400's - it'll work.

I think Skate should install a 3rd engine and you guys can compare speed and performance Seems like we have the perfect scenario to do it!!!

im surr it will run well just like the Doug wright poker run but....and I say BUT...remember to take a good look at both hulls and compare them. I give cudos to DW for performance BUT looking at the PR boat here last year at he tickfaw 200 i could see quite a size difference in width and depth of sponsors along with the deck hieght..big reason for the 116mph advertised speed. Super interested in nasty build to see how Peter h does many of you know him waaaay beter then me, I'm just some guy who bought an old 28 lol So you know he knows his sh!t!

I sure hope he does. If this thing does not perform after making a new mold it will be a big disappointment.
I think 120 for either the MTI or Wide body Skater will be a strech. I cannot see the boat picking up 20mph with 200hp increase along with 400 more pounds even with a wider tunnel. The end of the day it comes down to weight and HP.

I didn't realize skater made a whole new mold for the wide 30 with outboards. I though it was a widened 30 with the notch filled in just like they do for the 338 inboards except without a bussel.
