Sam, you know as well as any of us that good things take time and Skater a little longer!

Hey All, Just spoke to Tony this morning. We had to confirm a few things for interior. He said that rigging is going to start this week. Still no word on motors but he's been calling frequently to get some kind of date for me.

Im gonna wait it out. Think it'll be worth it. Plus the rerig in a couple years would be a pain in the ass and cost a load of money. I was in the order very early. Its gotta be close. They're really not behind because of the motors at this point anyway. Just starting the rigging and will throw the motors on last and complete whatever wiring the motors reguire. Plus the boat was always intended for the 400s even before I stepped into the build. I am getting ANTSY tho. Ha.

Nasty saw the article on Speed On The Water. After seeing all the shots, even more impressed. Someone posted earlier about the steering wheel and I have to agree. It needs someone bulkier to fill your dash. Not spending your money as I can't imagine your investment. Congrats again and post some speed numbers when you get time in the seat.

You know I've been telling you all along you weren't going to have the boat back in April as you were promised. NOTHING moves that fast back at DM. You're definitely doing the right thing though Steve - that boat NEEDS 400s on the back of it imo. Just relax and enjoy the build process, everything looks great so far, plus, this is just giving Mercury more test time with the 400s that are already out there running. The boat is turning out absolutely stunning and it's going to have the performance to go with the looks with those 400s on the back of it. Congrats on what's turning out to be an incredible build!

Thanx Dale, and you were right. Even without the motors taken into account it is still only in rigging just this week. don't know how long it takes to rig one of these as I have never done this before. Im not unhappy at all. All the guys at Skater are awesome and nothing goes as planned. As long as Mercury does their part I would think it should come in July sometime. I hope. Ha. At any rate I love the way the boat is turning out. It looks awesome and I can't wait till i can get behind the wheel. Its going to be so cool finally being able to run it whenever I please. Cant wait to see the paint in person out in the sunlight. It should look fantastic. Thanx for all the help you've offered up along with everyone else on this site. Everyone has been great and very supportive except for the one guy who didn't like my paint. Ha. Steve.

Would be a cool comparison to put the 300's on the back and the 400's on later to see the difference they make. Plus side, your in the water. Negative, cost of the rig. How much to re-rig? Probably chump change compared to sawing your most beautiful Skate in half.
