Yea Andy that would be a great comparison and I would love to see it too along with a lot of others. Like I said earlier tho at this point the motors aren't holding anything up just yet. Once the rigging is mostly done that may be the case. The 300xs's would be readily available when needed in another couple weeks for sure. Im hoping the 400s will be here soon right at the end of the rigging inside the boat so they could be mounted when needed. At this point it wouldn't matter if they were here now or not. They still would not have me in the water now which would be great for sure. Thanx for the thought. Steve.

Nasty saw the article on Speed On The Water. After seeing all the shots, even more impressed. Someone posted earlier about the steering wheel and I have to agree. It needs someone bulkier to fill your dash. Not spending your money as I can't imagine your investment. Congrats again and post some speed numbers when you get time in the seat.

Nasty, Check out Scream and Fly's General Discussion. There is a 28 Tuff with twin 400's on the water!

Hey Tab, I saw that a couple weeks ago. It looks very cool. I really like the look of their boats. The 21 footer is very similar to my checkmate. I saw it with the motors on it. Have you seen anything about it running yet. Steve

Tab, I just checked out the sight. Boat looks great can't wait for numbers. They said they calculated 118mph and a carbon version of the boat ran 107mph with a 725 ilmor. I assume thats horsepower? Don't see 118 being there is going to be another motor dragging and its only 75 more horses. Anyway the rig is very cool and I wish the owner the BEST being I'm in the same situation. Do you know the weight on this thing. My 21 Checkmate weighed 1300 lbs dry no motor. would think this thing has gotta be around 2000 lbs at least. They had one rigged with 300xss. wonder how fast that one ran. Steve.

Well Boys, Seems like the whole process is dead in the water. There are some good pics of the boat cleared in the Serious Offshore site. I didnt get many good cleared photos to post. The ball is in Mercurys court now for motors. Absolutely no word on when to expect them. working on steering system specifically for my needs. No rigging done yet as Im sure the guys at Skater have more pressing work to get done than working on a boat just to let it sit and wait around for motors. I personally wouldn't expect any performance numbers from me this season as i have a pretty good feeling I won't see my rig til fall and It'll go straight into storage. Blah. Mercury is backed up and Im most likely a last concern. Im feeling that if it doesn't get done til September It will definitely not be going to Mercury for final dial in if its totally up to me. Ill get it home and let it sit till next season until I figure out how to dial it in my self. Im losing faith quickly. Come on Mercury please help me.
