nope not really ! The bow , yes, we overlapped a foot to 6 feet into original material to gap the seams. In a major stress area like that. These deck areas don’t need that. 3” clean scarf with consecutive fabric overlap is all you need. Stacking the layers and cutting the layers proper so you don’t have a huge hump to grind down thus weaking the joint if doing so. The bulkhead was only minor fractured. And the deck was just minor cracking where from the weather the core was compromised. Now, the next round of pics will be a bit more interesting rebuilding the deck above the bulkhead. Just trying to wrap up some work this week to be able to tackle that project.

man I hate personal projects.

Bulkhead body worked. Bulkhead deck in. Core replaced near fuel fills. That part of the deck was all jacked up. Found a part of rotten core on a crack on hullside. Cut that out. Bagged new core in. Kevlar and s glass layup and vacuum bagged down. Transom next then bustle last.

Transom is in. Epoxy curing under increased heat over holidays and Stringer uprights going In. Waiting on new order of epoxy to bag up the last panel needed for bustle. Transom was built with mixture of glass , kevlar , and carbon. With glass and carbon tabbing. We are getting VERY CLOSE to being done.

Wow , sorry , it’s been a while since I updated. Transom done , just have to finish some minor body. Hatch got fitted. And working on finishing bustle this week. Ended up selling my sterling motors and picked up some basically brand new 1350/1550 Teague power plants. This is the last piece to the puzzle. For what it’s worth, I’m getting tired of this project 🤣 but I will see it through ! We’re so close to paint. I know it doesn’t look like it , but we are. Cheers !
