Ryan,I don't think he will have 2:1 gears on those new motors???Are they still 1:87 or did they change them?Going from the 2:1 gears from 1:87 can be a more than a 500 RPM difference.

they come with 1:87 wich are alittle faster top end but run and accelrate better with 2:1. On my 24 I have 1:87 because I am too cheap to pay to change them.

Hey Ryan.Idon't think you have Promax motors ,but if you do don't be so quick to change those gears.I took my 2:1 gears out and installed the 1:87's.The 2:1 gears spun 34" props all the way to the rev limiter so I had to ditch them.BTW the 34's now only go to 6,350rpm.So I'm going to try 3 blade 32's this weekend.

cri331 it sounds like you bought consumer version 280's you should still run 105-110. A really well set up 28 with 280's can run up to 120 with twins.

Ryan, stick with the 1:87's.You have a chance of hitting the rev limiter with 34" props and 2:1 gears. For sure with the 32's.
