Default Just took a Sonic 31SS in on trade.

Just wanted to drop some more details on this boat in the classifieds.

We took this 2003 31SS in on trade on a new Active Thunder. The boat is currently at the AT factory, and has also been mechanically blessed before we took it in via ECU, compression, and leak down tests. Its full of options including 500EFIs, full hydraulic steering, upgraded stereo, and AC.

Obviously, its all white, so you can start from scratch with graphics. We'll even work with you to change out the purple cockpit highlights if desired. We have an in-house paint/graphics design shop; so me know if I can answer any more questions. We are not in the business to make money on trade in boats; so if you are motivated, so are we.

You can contact me directly; or Pat at the factory via the numbers in the ad.

Thanks David, but I don't consider myself a sales rep. Sales reps have quotas and answer to people. I help people into boats, period. I also have a relationship with the AT factory. I have a real job that pays the bills, so this is all for personal enjoyment.

We can potentially take your Fountain in on trade. We'll paint a longer paint job on it.

By the specs, 8K lbs. right on the nose; full of fuel, and water. That's not including gear, tools, coolers, etc.

(7000 lbs. of boat, 840 lbs. of fuel, 160 lbs. of water.)

Can you upgrade your lift by 1000 lbs?

This hull was made with the infusion process (vacuum bagging), so its lighter than previous 31 Sonics, but its still realistically right on the above numbers. Sonics in general are heavy boats. My 1999 26' Sonic was listed as 5050 dry, but realistically it was closer to 5500 lbs. I had options like Corsa switchable exhaust, like this one; and this one has AC, which also boosts the weights above the basic specs.

The new infusion process/vacuum bagging (which began in 2003) brings them down to some more friendly weights. The new ones that Lenny and crew are putting out are built with all three pieces using the process which is even better.
