Rocket trailer fenders
My rocket trailer fenders were very flimsy, as are the support brackets. One was bent a little. Then I stood on it getting into the boat and it was bent a lot!
I took off the fenders (aluminum diamond plate by the way) and cut 2x10's to the right length. They fit right in between the lips. I painted the board black, drilled the fender and bolted the board in place from the top with a pair of lag bolts every 12". The bolt heads don't look bad imo. I re-installed the fenders 1 1/2" higher to keep the tire clearance the same and filled the bolt holes with dummy bolts. I bolted the supports on with lag bolts. The 1/4" or so that extends below the fender really isn't noticeable being black.
Now the fenders are straight and will hold 2 people.
Just thought the rest of you with these trailers might have the same problem.

See other threads on Rocket trailers. Not the best liked trailer made. I personally did not have any problems with them but I know many others that did.
Glad to know someone knows how to make them work.
