Sydwayz, where did ya get the new anchor light base? Is it in color or just a white replacement? Did you ever get your convertible settee made or bought? Sorry about not getting back to you on that but I didn't realize I'm using a piece of it to go over my sub box in the cabin. It's been a loong winter and you tend to forget things..LOL.

Go 4 Broke, thats a nice set up....What kind of scoops do you plan on going with????

I'm gonna head out to the garage and take some digital pics of our winter modifications, since its raining again and ruined our plans of a first splash this holiday weekend. So we haven't even been able to try our new mods.

I may have a problem trying to size them correctly for posting though.
I'll be back in a couple of hours to attempt it..

Okay here's another angle of the scoop... We went with the
smallest size we could so we didn't lose alot of our sundeck space..... We also kept it white so it didn't stand out too much.

so our list of mod's. ..new Bassett purple powder coated headers
purple powder coated valve covers
installed Superchiller
purple steering wheel, vents, cup holders,
and steps on the way....
We also bought a Eddie Marine nose cone, but have not installed it yet, waiting to see how she runs with the first couple mods.
Some say no gains from them, some say yes, soo, I 'll be the
guinnea pig. Thats if we ever get to go boating.

Here's another shot of the motor...

I havent seen a prowler with big power before. Let us know how she runs and what numbers you are getting. And how much hp do you have under that hatch?!!!!

Nose cones often don't give speed gains, but usually help with stability. You have to be running 80+ to see speed gains I think.
I'm thinking of a scoop along thes lines, purple with yellow/red flames.

Yea, thats what I hear about nose cones on the board, but I have trouble believing it. We put one on our Baja back in the day and we definitely saw speed gains and that was in the 70 mph range. Plus, if its in the 80+ range then we are hoping to be there anyway. Well, we should be there, we were almost there before the mods. (superchiller and headers). We looked at that style scoop but it was way to large for what we wanted. We didn't want to lose very much of the sundeck space. We spend alot of time on our sundeck. But your boat is larger, but with two of them its still gonna take alot of your sundeck, so make sure you take measurements first. What kind of superchargers are you gonna go with? Let me tell ya that nose cone fits like a glove on that outdrive, (just placing it there)... but it will be awhile before I install it.

Mark in So. Md,
Would you believe me if I told ya, I don't know how many ponies! We're gonna run more boost (8 lbs) with the superchiller plus with the true tubular header, we're hoping to see a consistent 80 , which is probably 90 on the speedo. Last year with 5 lbs. of boost and EMI Thunder exhaust and no Superchiller, we pegged the 80 mph. speedo, but thats not GPS.

Does anyone want to donate a GPS speedo to help out our caus?
Then we can get true numbers...LOL

Prowler, I have complete 525sc setups, minus the ignition box, to install. The wife and I are more interested in the race boat looks than retaining sunning room on the pad. We will just spread towels on the bow.
PS your boat looks great!
