Default 2004 31 Sonic's

OK, I am going up to MD on 6 Sept to price a new 33 Donzi, my 3rd Donzi (not that I am ate up with them!), they have two 31 Sonic 496HO boats there, we plan to crawl around them and check them out.
I have read every thread in this forum.
We are also considering a new 32 Sunsation Dominator T500 boat.

I am looking for factual ride and speed data on these new 31 Sonics, we are bay/ocean boaters.

What type of speeds are achieved consistantly from a
T HP 500's?
T 496 HO's?

Just curious.

BT,
Others will chime in here, but I will give you what I know off the cuff.
496HOs 78-80
500s 82-85ish?

Go with 525s. Rocketship reliable warrantied power, closer to 90 I bet.

525's cost more than I can spend.
Thanks for the data.

Are we having another winter OSO party in Richmond?

Hey Bryan, New member Sonic31ss has a brand new boat, leftover 02' w/496's. He has spent the last few weekend dialing props and I believe he is seeing right around 80mph. Give him a PM for more info., he's a great guy.

Ok trying to find the folks you have mentioned on here to look for data.
I was hoping for more data on the ride of a Sonic 31.

One dealer told me 77 with T496HO's, not to shabby, not sure I can spend another 20K on 500's for another 5 mph.

I plan to check them out real soon...

David your too funny...
No, a few there know I am seriously shopping.
My boat is mint and will go fast, I plan to list it tomorrow for $$ 61K on a new 10,000lb HD Load Rite trailer, al mags and matching spare, and we spent $ 5K over the winter on this boat, a sweet 2001 26ZX. It will be gone on the 6th if find what I want to buy, I will suck up a few $K just so it is gone, by trading it... no brokering BS for me.

I have followed all your threads since you got your new boat, is she running strong now?
Bryan
