31ss and 358
I am starting to look at the 31 and 35 sonics and have a few questions.
how is the ride quality of both boats?
how do each handle?
what speeds would I expect?
31 w/496ho and 500efi
35 w/500efi
how is the the cabin and cockpit room?

Information
Just read your post and we are at he Charlotte Boat show, to be quick , look at our website for further information.
358 huge cockpit almost 6' as u go in and plenty of room for a small family.
31 approx. 4'10" but it is setup fine, even has a enclosed head w/additional sink
We stock 31SS w/twin 496 MAG HO WOT @ 74GPS
358 w/twin 525's WOT @82GPS
Maybe with someone who knows how to drive these beautiful machines they could go even faster. Both handle the chop fine...with no backaches at the end of the day.

358 will give you a much better ride without question...
31 is 30.5 ft and 358 is just that and has much more freeboard...
Both cabins are great for their size, but 358 is huge in comparison.
358 without the notch in the transom is a no brainer for driving. Gas and go. I've only read, I have no experience with the notched, but have read here that it has a tendancy to porpoise.... again, I have no first hand experience with the notched.
Been on both and each for their size are fabulous rough water boats.
Cockpits are about the same in size, 358 has more room behind the helm, I'm tall and the extra few inches felt more comfortable.
You should really check them out in person, you won't go wrong with either.
There are many posts here, do a little searching by changing the post dates at the bottom of the sonic section, lot's of good information from some great people!!!
Good luck!!!

No pics of the sonic at midlantic... to best describe it, it's the checker pattern with a twist.. Sonic site, graphics page, it's like 2,3,6 and 9, however the colors are different, if I remember right, it's black, purple, blue and orange/red on the one that is for sale.... it seems like a good price compared to the market, not sure of the condition... they're asking almost that much for pre 496 era boats... well, dealers anyway....
