It's finally done ..... many weekends of building and figuring out just what the hell we were doing, we finally have a new dock at the house.
Thanks again to Tommy, Joe, Bradford, Mike, Mark, Braden .... you know who you are ....
Now come back over since it's done and let's have a couple of cocktails!!!

Looks good, man! I'm wondering if we've met before. I run the river every now and then and know a few of the names you mentioned...Bradford, Tommie, Mark(not sure which one), etc.
Maybe I'll see you around some time.

Not at all..... unless you make a left under the RR bridge headed north - head towards the barge dock and hug the bank.... That's one nice thing about being down there, not much boat traffic in front of the house ... except those who can't figure out where the f)ukk dey is.... LOL!!!

So how is the river these days after the hurricane, anything to worry about? I know the Bay and Clear Lake area is still questionable. Is the boat ramp at Riverside usable?

The boat ramp is fine - the dock that was just next to the ramp is gone - but under construction. There is the dock next to the building you can get to - so no big deal. The river is fine - there has been quiet a bit of traffic - and a few incidents - but those were mainly the drivers fault. There was a big a$$ tree just past the 3rd island heading north (before Tugboat Annies) on the right side of the river channel - but I haven't seen it lately. If you stay in the middle - you'll be fine. If heading south just before the RR Trestle by Riverside - Don't hug the right side of the channel. If you run close to the green marker and the tide is just a little low you'll run aground. My house is just across from it and we see it every weekend.
Let us know when your out and we'll meet up.

I have ridden most of the river since IKE and for the most part it has not changed, however Scott and Burnet bays have a lot of submerged trash in them so beware.
As the Capt said, there were a few trees in the river and a bunch of picnic tables and pieces of broken docks. Nearly all of those have found new homes somwhere and do not pose a hazzard.
