Hot Spots
I will be moving back to Tampa/St Pete this summer. When I lived there before,I was boatless. So need some local info on hot raft up spots, and motor up bars. In other words where are the naked drunk chicks, displayed as bow and stern candy?

Shell Island was that spot and has been shut down to partiers. Caddys has been pretty good on Treasure Island. It's on the gulf and you anchor out front. Lots and lots of girls and you are allowed to drink on the beach. Gators hasn't been as good as it was. They will have a bikini contest on Sundays this summer and that usually draws a pretty big crowd. And they have docks.

If you want naked then about a mile south of Eggmont Key is Naked Island (it's a sand bar) that is where you should go.
From Clearwater south on the intracoastal waterway there are water front resturants. Next time you are down pick up a little free booklet called Boater Resource Digest. It lists everything.

raft up spots - Egmont Key and Beer Can Island. That's about it. Shell, as mentioned above, has been shut down.
Tampa waterfront bars - limited:
(1) Rick's on the River - north of downtown on the Hillsborough River
(2) Marriott Waterside - Harbor Island
(3) Cafe DuFrain - Harbor Island
(4) Sheraton Riverwalk - downtown
(5) JAckson's - Harbor Island
(6) Bahama Breeze - Courtney Campbell Causeway
(7) Crabby Bills - Courney Campbell Causeway
(8) Beer Shed - Alafia River
(9) Circles - Apollo Beach
of the above, Ricks is probably the most fun, but still leaves a bit to be desired. Bahama Breeze could be a lot of fun, but poor docking (I cannot fit my cat in the dock spaces and have to go horizontal or off the end). Beer Shed is a lot of fun, but more of a biker bar on the water than a boating bar.
Better restaurants, bars, etc. on the St. Pete side...
