Default Restaurants on Lake Lanier

Gonna be at A.M.S.W running some laps in a cup car (b-day present from the wife) On the way home we want to stop by the lake and have lunch, not being from the area we could use some suggestions, looks like the Buford area would work best with our travel plans. Thanks you.

Sunset Cove is probably best for seeing A BUNCH of boats. There is a place out near the BROWNSBRIDGE RD bridge that prob will get you the best view of boats running up/down the lake.

I'm sure the MORE local will chime in.

Agree. Everything else is set back pretty far and won't be too amusing.

When you are traveling north on I-85, exit onto I-985, then take exit #8, Friendship Rd./Lanier Islands Pkwy, turn left at the light and it will take you straight into Lake Lanier Islands and follow the signs.

Are there any docks for the other 2 places at Lake Lanier Resorts? I think they are called Bullfrogs and Windows?

Yes- small courtesy dock for Bullfrogs, just off the main channel, looking directly at the 3 sisters. Going into the cove, it's off to the left. Be cautious, LARGE shoals just off to the left of the dock. You have to walk up the hill, pretty decent little hike. Take the number to courtesy shuttle and call when you arrive and they'll come get you.
