Thanks Greg, we will be coming back down in march for a week or so of driving around both sides.
Tango, I think we are leaning towards buying some land, and building a 50x100 shop with living quarters above part of it. $420 is definitely more than we want to spend, and I think having lots of room to roam is winning out over having the boat on a lift in the back yard........just what fits our lifestyle best right now.
Thanks for all the insight guys!

I have a buddy that bought in Stuart on the water (almost to Jensen Beach). Loves everything about it........except his 45 minute commute (each way!)to West Palm Beach for work. He is hoping to pay it off, enjoy living on the water years from now but locked in his low price today. 45 yr old house needs everything but he paid too much to tear it down so it will be a remodeled older home. He just blew 50K remodeling the master bed/bath.....moved pipes/cut up the floor and a small addition. Bath looks like it belongs in a magazine, the rest of the house looks like it belongs on a 70's serial killer movie set.

There seems to be some pretty affordable acreage near the sebastian inlet......couple acres nice and dry for 50-60....near Micco. Is that a pretty quiet, nice area?
We like to go to the action, not live in it.

Yes that is quiet, the Sebastian inlet is a nice boating area. Some pretty good stops on the river for food and bands. There was a guy on here that lives there I think he went by Twin OB?
Haven't seen him on in a while, last thing he was talking about was buying something with land so he could have a toy barn.
Maybe dig him up and see if he would still get a PM.
