Smile South Carolina

I'm looking to move from the New York area to South Carolina. I'm looking to be lakeside or close to lakeside. I was wondering what other lakes are good. I already looked at lake Murray. Not sure of other lakes. Maybe something west of lake Murray. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

we are moving from syracuse NY to lake lanier in gainesville GA in 8 months. LAke murray is a cool lake, a few buddies who live in the area claim there is not too much money in that area (depending on your occupation) but closer to clempson i guess there is alot of money. agaain, not sure on your profession. but it is a cool lake.

Lake Hartwell nice lake with good places to eat, listen to music and hangout on. It is a flood control lake so make sure you have good water or sometimes your dock could be sitting on land. Our dock has never been on dry land and we have never not boated because of water levels. Had a place there since 1999.

Aiken is a nice small town. Lot of equestrian activity.
We are down on the coast near Beaufort. Love it here.

You are in a beautiful area! I'm on Perdido Key, Florida (part time).
