Only 1 day on the water with the rental, had 2 rented but weather was sketchy, Nice 24 Seafox with a Yamaha300. Went as far east as the west side of the Pass at Pensicola. Anchored on the south side of the ICW and walked white sand to the gulf. Very cool area, better than the Destin area IMO with more area to drop an anchor or beach it. The jets were rolling out of the Naval air station as well, overall with the bars & restaurants its better boating. Didn't get to explore the Robinson Island area at Orange Beach. Water color a kool-aid lite brown was a bummer and inferior to the Crab Island area and the East Pass in Destin, however its been raining a ton and the locals told me more inland rivers dumping into ICW than to the east in Destin..

Did you get to see the Blue Angels flying/practicing?
Yes, water gets brown (I believe its tanic from the plantlife, etc... inland) during heavy rains.
We find Destin to be clearer water virtually all the time...but P'cola/Orange Beach is good often enough.

Spent last Friday and Saturday at Crab Island. Water and weather was perfect. East of there water was same brownish tent attributed to Red Tide. Was planning on taking the boat to Pensacola this coming weekend, but low 70’s weather doesn’t sound too inviting. Still going to see the sons, but likely without boat. It’s sad that after a long delay getting boat back on the water, the seasons almost over.

They don't have any water front locations YET...
...but LONG time OSO member Clark Beecher aka crb76 and his wife Ashley purchased this family owned restaurant group in Seaside last year; and things are really going well with all 5 endeavors.
