Ive got a 1998 30' Spectre with twin HP500's, the boat has a full custom interior and a pretty wild looking wrap for a paint scheme. The motors have 80ish hours on them, and I've personally had the boat to 97mph with full tanks of fuel on LOTO. It's got Hydromotive 4 blade 29's on it. I was hoping for a little more than this. Drives are B1's with shower's Latham hydro steering etc.
I'm thinking of Whipple 3.3's or possibly Prochargers, I like the whipples because blow through carbs are a tuning nightmare. What will I need to do to the drives? Just IMCO lowers? or Full IMCO? I don't want to break alot of stuff, I love the reliabilitly it has.
Other option is heads/cams added compression etc, and stay N/A.
What do you guys think?

what lowers do u have. Sounds like you need some more prop with less drag. I think your barrier is a Hydrodynamic thing and not Horse Power. My 32 did 104 with a set of 500 efis and after changeing the lowers and props the boats runing 115ish. That boat has plenty of horsepower. They do over 100 with outboards so i know there is more left

Funny you say that. Had a friend with a 30 Mistique Cigarette that porpoised all the time with standard length drives. We added -2 shorties and 5 blades and now no more porpoise

I totaly agree and its good that u express concern most people just throw ideas out there not understanding everything. The best bet for him is to call Jay Palini or Rolf at proroc and those guys would point him where he needs to be.
