The rev limiter is 6400 on the XS. I like to prop so I'm right at the limit in cool weather. This gives you the most RPM in all temps. You could talk to Dewald about tweaking those props one more time to get another 200 RPM. Not sure if it would help, though, as your prop slip is fantastic. I'm at 10%.

Still loving the Dewald 5-blades. I bought Shaun Torrente's laser setup tool and started experimenting with propshaft height. I knew I was on the right track after going up to 1-5/8" and saw the best speed my wife and I have seen together. So, I tried 1-3/4" and got the boat out today by myself. Water pressure was still good at 15 psi and there was no difference in handling. It was a super calm day, but it recorded a new best top speed just a tick under 110. I know with some more chop, it will hit 110.

I realise this is an old thread, however i was wondering how you set your engine heights, gearbox in relation to the bottom sponson. i have a 25foot victory cat with twin 300x and currently running 30x15 off shore cleavers and only getting around 97mph. i was thinking of ordering the 5 blade 30x15 dewalds. but also think my engine height is not where it should be?

For top speed really as high as you can and still have good water psi. Normally the water psi is your limiting factor.
