Default SCX and lower advice for 36 Spectre

I am looking for advice on swapping to SCX drives on my 36. Was considering running my standard XR lowers with SCX uppers but I am wondering if there is a benefit to going with shorty's? Wondering what setups have worked for other 36 owners? Thanks

Have scx drives on mine and no issues. I'm sure there not as fast but they don't break as of yet. They were new in 2012 behind roughly 850 per side.

Boatman, thank you. Are you running SCX lowers also?
