The marks on the gimble is what we use at the factory. The scribe marks are for cuttting the hole in the transom....

Re: Dominator toe in/toe out?
I took measurements after once again to the best of my visual ability setting the drives dead ahead, and no way can I get the shafts to 34 6/16". Dead even measurement puts my shafts and cones at 35 1/8". I set them at cones 35 3/16" and the shafts at 35 1/16" or 1/8" apart. So I'm thinking the dimples are irrelevant????? OR I am still really screwing up in my alignment. I visually get the top of the gimbal ring squared with tht etop of the transom plate. Is that not correct in theory?
'nookstr I also after setting, took measurements at all the way trimmed in, halfway up, and all the way up to see what happens with no deviation whatsoever regardless of where the trim was.
I wonder if during the build if they documented the spacing and I could find by my hull #?

Re: Dominator toe in/toe out?
Dont wory about mesurement numbers from other boats. There is not a set # we use at the factory for every boat it needs to be checked per boat. If you go off the dimples and take a 1/16" off at the shafts your good. Every boat will be a little different..... When using the dimples if you rub the sticker so you have a clear view or the circle take a sharpie and make your self a nice dot in the center and mesure that (easier to see) thats from the factory....

Re: Dominator toe in/toe out?
Done that. I can clearly see the dimples and have a little nail mark as well. Just couldn't get it to match those when set at dead center. It's like the lower portion of the drives are set apart slightly futher as indicated above. Again, I'm not saying I still couldn't be dyslexic in my visual lineup when putting the drives at straight ahead, but I did put sme time into it by being patient. I'm gonna have a friend or two also come over and do a second set of eyes just in case. I wish there was another late model 32 locally I could check the dimple to shaft theory against. Maybe mine are screwed up somehow.....
kmiller, what is it exactly you do at the factory?

Just that / helps to have a second person hold one end of the tape mesure ( also start at 1" when mesuring, better reading )
