best of luck...
you might have a tough time finding one under 50k unless they've put a lot of hours on it or not maintained it well.
most sunsation owners will only depart with their boats if you pry it from their dead dying hands...
but if you find one...you'll love it...
there is a guy in Nortnern California that has a relatively new 288 for sale... it's in the Classifieds and I think it has a 496/HO like mine....

ps: a 496/ho will get you to 70 on gps...mine does

I know the one your talking about. Its been for sale for quite a while. It's in Ohio which is only a few hours from my home, but i'm also having second thoughts about the pro charger. The price is definately reasonable though. Just makes you wonder why.

Dono, the problem with that boat it hasn't been babied, also he put the procharger on himself. those two things make me stay away. Third he sent me pictures and the boat was kinda a mess, my thought was if I were selling a boat and sending pictures to someone I would want it to look perfect not be a mess some it show me he doesn't take much pride in the up keep of his boat, and them that brings me back to him installing the procharger. I am to picky for that boat. But price is right

I have a whipple on my 222 Stinger and it's great, but I would not have second thoughts about buying a boat with a Procharger or Prochargers.
I would be prepared to rebuild any engine that has a had a blower or a procharger on it for more than 200 hours.
Before I bought the Sunsation 288, I had made a deal on a beautiful 97' 35 Fountain with Procharged 502's. The engines had 197 hours and the Prochargers were installed at 0 hours. That's what kept me from buying the boat.

Whassup I think you will have a hard time finding a 28' with a HP-500 for that price range. I think the majority of the 28's have 454 Mags You should be able to find something in that price range. And add a whipple charger on. I would not buy a boat with a whipple or pro charger already insatalled, who knows how it was done and if the drives have been abused.
Give Ryan a call at Premier Motorsports (616 792-8080) tell him what your looking for and your budget he may be able to help. He is a real nice guy, and easy to deal with, mention to him that I gave you his number.
Also on BoatTrader there is a repoed 32 with 7.4's I don't know what kind of condition it's in but they are asking around $65,000 I wouldn't hesitated to offer them $50,000 for it. A 32 with 7.4's will run 70 MPH , I'll keep my
eye out if, If I see anything else I'll let you know.
Good Luck Kirk

Whassup:
Don't get me wrong, I love my Sunsation, but being in NY why not give John a call at SuperBoat about one of his Y2k30 ? It is a really nice riding boat, and with the right steam are Fast as H@#l
I think with a 750HP Zul motor he posts 100MPH. Not bad out of a single engine Vee.. Not as nice inside as a Sunsation though.
