I've got a 94 Aggressor, and everybody has advised me against putting a nose cone on that hull. I've got a buddy with a drive with one that I may borrow next year to try back to back.

I have a nose cone on my 94 with a 502. Boat runs 72-75 gps. I don't know if the nose cone has any effect or not.
Nose cone is made to eliminate blow out. If at top end you feel like the prop is loosing traction, then you will benefit. It can also cause the boat too slow down if the application isn't correct.
I know when I was running outboards on Hydrostreams blowout wouldn't occur until at least uppers seventies, I am not sure on outdrives.

Ken,
As you know I have a nose cone on my early Bravo drive. My understanding was that some benifit may be realized on the early Bravos because of the bigger bullett. Unfortunatly, I made some other changes at the same time, so an A, B comparison could not be made. If I had to do it over, I would most likely not put in on. I used a Hydromotive by the way!

did you like the hydro?
my motor is in the garage at the moment-i had a piston pin come loose, beyond me how it happened. last few times out i was onl running on 7. it damaged the block-i havent decided just what to do with it yet. i ve got new heads, intake, manifolds, crank, and cam. after ordering it all i finished stripping the block and i come up with this! we'll see what happens my guy whos doing the motor has a few tricks up his sleave or so he says! anyways its snowmobiling season and i cant stop tinkering with the boat!!
how has the off season been treating you?
i will catch up with you later, it was good talking with ya.

I tried a 24P Hydromotive on my Aggressor, boat ran 5 mph slower than the stock 25 Mirage Plus and the boat felt like it was tracking like an old Nova, doggy style!

Figure it will take about 3 good evenings to put the Hydromotive Nose Cone on. It is expoxyed on, but you have to take extra care to get it aligned correctly. I think it was a waste of money myself. On a 70MPH boat I don't think there is any magic to be gained.
I will be at the Tin Fish next month, and will talk to you there.
tmager, Yeah, Lee and I tried a 26 labbed Bravo on my boat, and although it was nice and smooth with excellent cruise, it scared us both at WOT. It gave the boat to much stern lift. The boat felt like the steering was shot. Lee has told me he liked the 3-blade Hydromotive Turbo on his Rocket. I'd like to try one.
All you guys and gals have a nice Thanksgiving
