Left hand on 288??

Re: Left hand on 288??
Rotax, here is where the first signs of stress cracks are appearing. Like I said, at this point ( only 14 hours ) i'm going to see if they get worse... My 96 23 foot Baja had 225 hard hours on it and not a single stress crack, so you can see whey I am a little upset.. if it does not get any worse or develop anywhere else we will see.. I am currently running the boat on the upper hudson river in NY in pretty mild conditions,, so we will see if this becomes a bigger concern.

After looking at the new hull, I have to agree with the above, this hull has noticable changes that are a direct result of engineering and testing in the water. It is impressive to say the least. The boat we brought back to FL was sold in a week. Anyone shopping for a 29 or 32 should at least take a look at these boats.

I got the speedo and tach side by side,, I guess i'm a little selfish and wanted the gauges all to myself just kidding, I think it looks better as does my wife. I ended up putting a Livorsi in dash compass,,, it's a tiny bit small for the " BOSS " it's mounted in but all in all nobody would ever notice except for myself and I think it looks great..
P.S. yah,, let me know if your having stress cracks also .. Thanks .. chris

hey chriss288
well i looked .no stress cracks . that seems like a weird place to have cracks
it might of came like that from the factory . it seems like a defect ???
call sunsation and see what they say. good luck
any way im getting use to the boat with the its box it does not need much
trim. boat rides real nice at 55/60 in the rough water.

Re: Left hand on 288??
Hey Chris I Can't Believe That You Have A Problem With Your Boat. I Have Been Selling And Delivering Faster Than They Can Build Them. I Have'nt Seen Any Stress Cracks. From What I See In Your Picture It Is Just Gel-coat Crack. This Happens From Time To Time On Any Boat Part That Has A Radius. I Am Sure That Sunsation Will Take Care Of It. Ps It's Not Structural Nor A Defect.

Re: Left hand on 288??
Mark, I was under the impression all stress cracks were just gel-coat cracks ?? I obviously know it's nothing structural, just ticks me off they have appeared after only about 14 hours... on a side note, after taking it in the ocean over the weekend, they haven't gotten any worse, and of course Sunsation has offered to fix it.. At this point I am going to hold off on any type of repairs and see how the boat holds up for a season or so and see if things stay the same or get worse.
