New hull obseravation's / questions..
The new hull seems to require a very minute amount of trim to achieve optimal speed, Right around 1/4 on the livorsi drive indicator, or else it will rooster tail and slip.. I did this trying various trim settings while watching the gps closely..
I have 2 props,, the stock 26 B1 and a labbed 26 B1.. The question is neither prop seems to carry the bow very well,,, but then what do I know, maybe this is exactly how the boat was designed to run ???. I know this isn't my old baja,, but I used to be able to play with the trim and watch the bow come up and down and listen to the motor to achieve ideal trim..
Anyway, the labbed 26 pegs the rev limiter, so I need to have an inch of pitch added to it to achieve ideal RPM's, should put me right around 5,000 @ WFOT. BUT,,, while i'm at it i'm wondering if I should be adding some cup to carry the nose better...

Re: New hull obseravation's / questions..
Chris, Let us answer your Question. You now own and drive a completely different hull bottom than what you previously owned before. The out-drive x dimension is high and after months of testing before it went into full production, this is how Wayne feels to get the most out of the new 288"s. I suggest to call Wayne at Sunsation. He is the expert in this field and does not put his stamp of approval until its done to his personal satisfaction.Wayne will be more than happy to discuss whats right and what to stay away from. Thanks Chris and i hope you will boil water in your new 288. Denny

Denny,, very happy with our new boat,,, It runs great,, and I know it's totally different than what I am used to,, I guess I am just very surprised how little trim this hull needs to achieve optimal attitude,,,,,, according to the gps numbers anyway... I just wanna get my labbed 26 dialed in perfectly.. Thanks chris
