Chris 288 - how's the new boat been?

Re: Chris 288 - how's the new boat been?
The 32 hull and the new 288 hull are different animals... When you start adding steps, pads, and notches to try and increase speed your going to sacrifice some handling. Like I said earlier, this is my first stepped hull, and this maybe a trait common to them, I have only had straight V's in the past. The only thing about the handling of the 288 that really bothers me is when quartering other boat wakes, the boat will not always slice through them cleanly, sometimes it will hook and veer, basically straightening itself out, it's a bit un-nerving and you really have to pay attention to how you approach other boat wakes.
P.S. Dave we have met several times on the river, last year I had the 23 baja and boat with Paul and Chris on a regular basis. This year we are slipped at Gully's and have seen you a couple of times. I also met the guy on candlewood who bought his 28 from Metro over the winter,, the wife and I looked at that boat in February and almost bought it, but we decided to order new. I could not believe it when we saw it in snob cove.

On anything over a 1 foot chop, there is no sign of the problem at all. Only in calm smooth waters. And besides, I build these engines myself, so that helps a great deal on the cost

Chris288 I might be interest in your prop. I have the xr drive but i think my hub would fit your prop. Is the prop in good shape? What kind of RPMs before and after it was labbed? Thanks

Nitro, prop is mint, not a scratch, before 4,700 after 5,000. If you don't need the hub, 375.00 to your door.. let me know Chris
