The Fastec may be a good rough water boat, but still cant compete against the Activator.
Yes, our SVL was running Awesome in Day 1. I think we would have won that race, if we didn't have electrical problems. But hey...thats racing. a 25 cent piece of wire took us out of the game.

Re: F1 HP 500 Boats
Its all about the rules. Currently it appears that a good show is more important than a good race. To have good racing you have to enforce the rule book without exception.
If it was clear that the rule changes provided for a class that production manufacturers could showcase their products as it used to be I would say yes I'm racing without hesitation. If this is going to be a modified P class with rules subject to change based on boat count, I'll just save my money and race elsewhere.
No matter where I race, I do have a competitive F1 boat registered and ready to race. It may be worth selling if someone is interested, therefore I am interested in any changes that effect my equipment in this class.
I'll call you.

Re: F1 HP 500 Boats
I think the only way to make F1 better is 1 engine and drive package. Some of the reasons Factory class is were it is today is because of all the engine packages at 1 time you could have run a Hp 500 carb, HP500 injected, 525 or HP3 the guys who had the bling bought the new 525 and they also had an advantage over the other teams who stayed with the smaller engine packages
