Hey Trent, (love back at ya), I don't have all the answers on how we build this. Your team and our team has been trying to keep this together for the last 2 years. I honestly beleive offshore has hit the bottom and it is now starting to build back up. I'm all open to suggestions. If all interested parties agree, maybe a F1 meeting or conferance call? We know there are F1 boats out there, we just need come up with a happy median for us all t race. Dave

Agreed

Personally I would prefer to keep this structure off of the boards. Secondly, as you relate, even though we were foes on the race course, we worked very well together and had a blast off. We need to take the reins and be proactive as a group and not count on Smitty, JC, and/or Cooper. We need to show "proof in the pudding" before any of the big 3 get involved. We all remember the dog and pony show that F2 put on at the meetings and how many showed? 1 if memory serves! The SVL fiasco with OPA.... I refuse to put any of the race producers in that predictament again.

My complete contact information is as follows:

phone:321-508-3077
fax:321-728-7223
email:[email protected]

If you are interested please get in contact with me and I will add you to the list for getting updates on this process and when conference calls begin you can take part. I ask everyone to review the current F1 rules(SBI/APBA, the only rules that exist at this point) and use them as a template for slight changes and/or modifications. Those rules worked for 20 F1 boats in 01-02, I dont see why they couldnt be the basis for the direction we should go in.

Look forward to hearing from interested parties

Trent

That would be something to see!

Afro wigs, mullets or crew cuts...as my brother Scott says: "We're all brothers in the eyes of the Lord" ...and I'll add, we're all brothers of this passion we call offshore racing. And I sure miss my offshore racing brothers.
