In the past the 27 Formula did not preform that great in F1 and the 29 is even bigger.....they never had good speed...,it would be legal but look into it before trying to race it in F1....
if you are looking for a good f1 boat, Steve Keildolf has a 07 28 Volocity F1 boat for sale that is cheap in the 45k+ range without engine....and all you have to do is drop in the approved engine. they are proven great F1 boats and have been very succesfull....Steve rigged this boat himself to race.....its all ready beside putting in the sealed engine.....

Here is another F1 boat ready to go, im selling fire sale 35k with custom trailer,

there is also a company in NC where i just moved from willing to put down 10k for a yrs sponsorship.

That’s a sweet deal!

I would steer clear of the Formula listed on e-bay, I'm not saying it’s a bad boat but there are many old F1 Fountains in the 35k range that would be better suited for F1.
