agreed, the stock sbcs in the 80s w/ a 5yr warranty and low maintenence is pretty cool.
But JC perf could build those same sbcs as zul for alot less.

Hell if the 555 CI motors in King Sting turn 7500rpms, getting small blocks to do it would be easy.

I said old school. Like ARMED AND DANGEROUS - FEVER - RC MARINE - EXTRACTOR Now that was some noise. All Zul powered. I guess you could call JC Zul junior. Jeff has become quite reputable and buids some great pieces.

Steve Morris builds procharged 800hp 372inch sbc's that would work well!

Detune them slightly and the bravo's will live.

1400-1600Hp twin Superboat that should run 110Mph+!

Might even be able to kick some Activator A$$!

Better hurry though! I hear Activator is going to build a #6 Boat....And that can only mean one thing!

Steve has one of his 1200Hp motors in a 25 Baha with a #6 drive.
Can't remember, but I think the boat ran 109 at the Loto zoo.
It was mentioned in the "single V with a #6" thread located in the general boating section.

My buddy has the same 25 with 800Hp and it only runs 86...Goes to show you what brute power can do for you.

Here is what your looking for,
http://www.stevemorrisracingengines.com/

A bunch of motor for 24 grand.

I bet JC Perf could put together something similar.

KNOTWRIGHT your bud with the 800 what is his drive height ?? I put on a 2'' shortie and am up to 83.2gps 670hp at 5900rpms before the drive change and carb went to a nickerson 1050 I was hitting a wall at 74. and theboat flys leveler now, but it wants to chine walk over 76 so you have to drive the sh#T OUT OF IT TO KEEP IT STRAIGHT , but that will change this winter putting on the inside hdy steering only had the add on before. bblades think he can get me 2 more mph.

AIR TIME,

Buddy runs an Imco shorty with a medium (unknown to me) spacer. Currently he has a stock Bravo prop and has been told by a few pros to change props and remove the spacer.

He has full hyd steering but his boat still gets weird in side wakes or waves. You really have to drive the boat. His current setup blows and I don't like the boat in rough water anymore.

You are right though, I think he should be running faster.
