Hey Guys,
That is one awesome machine!!!
I'm sure with the extra weight and stability of twins, she is one hell of a rough water boat. I would think she is a lot better around the docks too. Like to know if she's as fast as a single with a 500 or 525??? I would guess faster out of the hole, but not top end...
Hey Bash,
I think at this stage of the game, I would rather a single engine boat. I had a 28ss Cigarette with twin small-blocks; it ate my lunch with all the fuel and maintenance. My 24' Super costs a lot less than 1/2, maybe 1/3, to run and maintain. Of course that boat was a 1978. Also, after seeing the Zuperboat next to the Y2K's at SuperFountainVello Fest, I have to say that I like the old deck lines better. Sorry Jcap, Super30, and...; the Tempest is a classic...
As for engine break in: What is that??? Any engine I have ever built, I have started hammering as soon as they are up to temp. ZZ is right, I use 30 weight for the 5-10 hours, then 20-50 Syn.

Race is on Friday, we're not going, calling for heavy rain all day, if it gets postponed we will probably go.

Yup Krak, thats your deck. It's just keeping the hatch out of harms way.
John wants to put 5 3" round white intake vents in the front of the scoops.
