I had a small family crisis this week, all ok now, but havnt been on the board.I am meeting Krac with his new boat and superbash and his gang to wagon train up to CT.I am still thinking of going to the ramp you suggested just to avoid the mad rush but i will try to reach you in the morning, I tried you a few times today but no answer.Looking forward to seeing everybody. My boats a mess and in need or a tune up but had no time.We are staying untill sunday afternoon and hope a few people will be around to play on sunday.

Hi Jim,
Sorry I missed your call. I tried you about 20min ago. I'm not sure if you will check here again tonight but we'll talk in the morning regardless.
I do recommend that you and Keith launch in Old Saybrook for a couple of reasons. It is much easier for larger boats and you will avoid the rush up north. The only down side is that it gets dark at about 6pm. I'm not sure what time we will finish in Haddam? There is an after party. Navigating the river after dark is not a problem so long as we take it slow. I will make sure that you make it back to Saybrook Point Inn by land or by sea...
Talk to you in the am and No worries mate.

Pat..I couldn't hold the cam steady to get a vid of you. I was very impressed with your boat's speed & attitude. I need more power!

Wow! What a trip! It was so great to meet you all - sorry we had to boogie out of there early, but the road trip back to Texas (did somebody pick up my award for "longest haul"??) called!
Jcap, Bash, Pat, SB30, Chris, Wayne thanks for ALL your help!! We'll post more soon, right now it's back on the road.
The Boat is AWESOME!! Here's a few quick shots of the happy owners - hope some of you got pictures of us underway!!
Smiles, smiles, smiles - new boat, great friends, awesome (but cold for us Texans!) weather, and more boats - can it get any better???
Rick, John, if you read this, I'll be calling you soon - the boat ran GREAT.

CT RIVER RUN,
this was one of the best events we have been to ,well organized , great hardware , great people ,there was a little bit of everything, from a couple of inflatibles that were running very fast!! (yes inflatibles!!) to lots of very hot SOBs from 15ft to 30ft, to a few offshore cats and a Cig(maybe a 35?) People were great, very nice homeowners allowed this event basicaly in thier backyard,(thanks again to the family that allowed my wife into thier beautiful home to use the facilities)
SUPERBOAT was very well represented, lots of 21s(joe from east coast marines beautiful 21 with a 300) and lots of 24s(superbashs really is beautiful! and Pats looks and runs great, got some pretty good air on that last wake Pat!!) a few 30s a few 30y2ks
SUPER30 was great to see you and the Misses again,I have some good shots of your 30y2k also,if my cam can be fixed!
A big thank you to Rich Owen the organizer of this event, what a great group of people! We have raced in professional events that were less organized than this informal get together.
Just an additional note:
I am usually the smallest boat in the pack with the offshore crowd, being a single engine 30ft that barely does 90mph and I am used to being swamped by bigger faster boats. It is easy for me to forget that my wake while insignificant for an offshore boat ,is substantial for a 16 foot pickle fork boat that does 120 mph! We were not in time for the drivers meeting ,and really had no idea of how the run was planned, I hope I did not break any rules ,offend or swamp any of my new SOB friends(my wife did learn how far an outboard can throw a roostertail,I told her to wear rain gear!)
If anyone can post in scream and fly, please post a link to this thread!
