My guess is Friday for gelcoating the interior of the hull. Finisher glassing the forward bunk and floor in the cabin. Also glassed in the Strainer mounting board. All that is left is the board for bildge pumps, then its a day of cleaning and fairing all the glass. Then it's gelcoat time !!!
The hull is popped from the mold, then clamped back in. It's flipped while in the mold, then the mold is lifted off it. The hull will then be blue printed. Put back in the mold then flipped back over.

Well, we have the room in the shop now. Took the other Y2K to the rigging shop today. Have to make two boat beds first before I pull your hull. They only take 2 days each.
Gary, I'll have some more pics for you tomorrow. Soo figure around 8:00 have your popcorn ready.

Hey Gary, Bash and everyone,
Long day again. Superbabi is almost done. Finished all the glass work today Bump drain boards are glassed in. Also cut out the balsa ( 3" circle)in the engine compartment for the depth transducer, and glassed it before I went home. Sanded the entire cabin, it's now ready for gelcoat. I would have sanded the engine compartment, but I had to wait because of the transducer. It will be done tomorrow.
These pics are of the cabin interior. All the glass is now sanded and ready for gelcoat. And in the engine compartment, the removal of the Balsa so the transducer can be installed. I remember someone asking me how it's done. Hopefully he'll see the pics.

Transducer mounting.
First use a 3" hole saw to cut hole. Set drill length at 3/16" depth. Just cut through the fiberglass in top of the Balsa, then use a chisle or screw driver to pry the glass off the Balsa. Then chisle out the Balsa as in the photo. Go all the way untill you are to the hull, Sand area. Next apply layers of mat to build up the desired thickness. Remember to make it level or the tranducer won't read properly. Also MAKE SURE there are no air bubbles or pockets in the mat you are applying , or the transducer won''t reat correctly.
