Hey gary did you change pulley on your 600sci,have you had a chance to run her up yet or you just breaking it in a little?Did they ever dyno that engine i aways wondered how much crank hp those engines make,i have never dyno one

Dave, no up grades just a rebuild, not that I did not want a few more hp's, but it seems no one has broken the codes for the system. Ron Potter down in FL. did the rebuild and the dyno was 601 hp. As for break in, just a couple of WOT BURSTS. Merc Racing redid the 5 blade maximus and in the 2' chop she ran pretty nice, 83.2. Not to shabby for a single 30' with one 600.

How does that 5-blade compare to bravo 1 4-blade,have not tried a 5-blade yet,just got in a 31lab bravo 1 might try it out today,weather is very windy and barely 60 so not sure,what size is your 5-blade,how many rpm.

The 5 blade 27" I'm using is a great prop for my hull/motor/combo.I like the 4 blade 29 I have, but the 5 gives the best top end, yesterday I hit 5400 rpms. Still dialing in. I guess it never ends ????

Rick, Ron Potter did a great job with the motor rebuild, the boat/motor are running SUPER !!!! I am trying to put together a summer weekend party, I have already spoke with a couple of the guys at this site and perhaps it may be a go. You must be there along with JC, also your new Superboat helper.
